In 2019, Ensekta was founded with the hopes of introducing the world to the nutritional advantages of insect-based foods.
Today, as South Africa’s first and only commercial cricket farm, we have narrowed our focus to meet the broadening demand for insect protein in both the human and animal food markets.
Together with industry partners, we are aiming to become one of the largest insect farms in the world while pioneering research into insect-based nutrition solutions.
Currently, Ensekta is midway through an 18-month research and development program with the aim of solidifying our position as international market leaders in the industry.
